It was constructed in 1922 by the sculptor Juan Cristóbal Gonzalez Quesada. The sculpture is made of stone, porphyry and marble. As a whole this was erected in homage to Mr. Jose Jauregui, the driving force in the construction of the shelter for accommodation of vulnerable children in the province.
